Packing
Tips:
• Think about the packing accessories you will
need to properly secure your belongings while in storage.
• Begin packing a couple of weeks before your
move.
• Moving time gives you the chance to weed out
old, unwanted or unneeded possessions. They take up
storage space.
• Keep the weight of all packing cartons under
30 pounds.
• List the contents of each package on the outside.
Insurance:
All the goods you place in self-storage are the sole
responsibility of you, their owner. Check with your
insurance agent to see if your policy covers your possessions
while they are being stored. We do offer insurance to
cover your items if needed.
Storage Tips:
• Select the right storage facility that is convenient,
secure, and moderately priced.
• Find a storage facility that is close to where
you live or work and make sure it is easily accessible.
• Provide yourself with a good padlock.
How to Pack It?
• Disassemble all pieces including tables, beds,
lawn mowers, etc. Make sure that all fuel is drained
form the fuel tanks in some of these items.
• Store items that are used the most near the
front of the storage unit.
• Always allow a center aisle for easy access
to all items, and stack everything at least two inches
form the walls to allow air to circulate.
• Store mattresses and couches on end and use
protective covers.
• Wrap fragile items like pictures and mirrors
with protective pads.
• Stack lighter boxes on top of bigger, heavier
ones.
